Gentlemen,

I need to scope a FAL 20" on a DSA mount.  I want a 1x4-6 or so with an illuminated reticle.  Will be shooting it from a bipod so weight isn't a huge concern.  Use will be shooting pigs, coyotes, and plinking.  I have a Weaver Extreme 1.5 on order for an AR and have heard good things about them.  Is this optic much less of an optic than the Bushnell 4200 Elite 1x illuminated?  Also, why isn't there much buzz or discussion regarding the Burris Electro Dot 1.6x?  Is the Burris XTR much better?  Would you go Bushnell 4200, VariX-3, XTR, or Weaver Extreme if you were me?  Lastly, is the K-dot or Accupoint justified for the extra $400 or so?  I'm tempted to just go 4200 unless the Weaver is as good.  Thanks for your time and thoughts.

In thinking this over a bit more I'm trying to decide between VX-3 illuminated or Elite 4200.  The consensus here seems to be that the 4200 is every bit as good as the Leupy if not better.  Guess I'll go 4200 tomorrow.  Does anyone else have a better idea?

4200 is a good choice ...
