I couldn't agree more. I know they're good but I don't like anything shoved in my face.

Very funny I wasn't the guy who said the new Sightron was the best optics made in Japan...That was someone else who happens to be very respected on the topic.

I have a 1-5x Sightron big sky. it survived 40 rounds on my 45-70. It has since been moved to my .357 lever gun, and fits it perfectly.

We're just having a little fun hunter12345. I haven't hunted with
one but it appears Sightron is a very good scope using the 2009 Riflescope Rating Scale as a reference.

I used a lowly Leupold vari-x II on a 340 Weatherby for a long time with no durability problems. The Sightron S2 took ten shots from a 300 weatherby and went all to hell! I have a buddy that swears by his S1, so I guess it's just luck of the draw? With all you guys poking fun at Sightrons I'm going to wait to try another. Wby257 needs to get his mounted and run it through the mill and let us all hear how great it is!

Sand I hope to get it mounted this weekend. The 257 wont give it a huge workout not alot of recoil. Iys just a fast recoil. But just looking at it its a durable built scope I think the tube may even be thicker than the Leupold its definatly thicker than the Nikons, The optics suprised me. very good but I will keep you posted

Yes, indeed. Every company makes a dud, from time to time. I have a friend who has sent back everything from Swarovski to Leupold and most scopes in between.
P.S. There's nothing wrong with Sightrons, we're just having some fun.

I wished I could say the same for the 340! It was the worst kicking rifle I ever had a chance to shoot! Great groups, 3127fps from a 225 gr Hornady, 3200 fps from a 200 gr Accubond, everything a rifle nut would dream of. BUT I had three scope cuts on my forehead that were all still oozing blood at the same time.

I noticed you are pretty quick to judge without knowing the whole story. I tried three different scopes set at different distances, different recoil pads that didn't compress as much, the whole gamut! It was down to a brake or get rid of it, and I got rid of it. If it makes you feel better to put people down, go ahead!

IF you knew Todd you would know it's NOT a put down. We don't do that here! Just funnin ya man.
