Looking for opinions (not flame anyones arse), I"m in the process of building a "F" TR Class 308, I've got a Savage 10 FCP with an A5 McMillan stock that's being pillar bed and glass bed as I type.  For Christmad my son bought mea Bushnell Elite 6500 2.5 - 16 42mm with a mil-dot reticle.  I've ordered a Ken Farrell one piece steel base with 15 moa built into it and 30 mm rings.  I reload my own ammo "175 gr. Sierra Match Kings" in front of Varget powder and chrono them at 2615 fps.  I would like to shoot F TR Class and was wondering if this scope will get me in the game.  I haven't attended nay shoots as of yet but from what I've heard / read  the scope may be a little underpowered, they shoot at both 600 and 1000 yards. Any opinions would be greatly appreciated. Smile

Big Kev.

KEV, Know nothing of F class, but do have a 4-30x50 6500 Mildot on a 30-378 weatherby heavy barrel custom. Wonderful scope. Only shortcoming is that it not a first focal plane scope so mildot ranging can only be done at one magnification. Hope that helps a bit.

If there is much mirage sometimes 16 X will be to much power. I have not looked through a 6500 but the ones here that have praise the scope.
