It's been a year since I was on this site.  Time flys when you're living your life I guess.  I want to buy my sons a good pair of bins but not spend a lot since they a young (12 and 15)and hard on equipment.  (You should see my rifles after the deer hunt)  We hunt in Utah.  Any suggestions?  Thanks, Baylian Cool

PS Hi Lucznik, Applied to hunt Pronghorn in your area but I didn't draw.  Too Bad.  Love the Bushnell Elites!  Thanks! Cool

When you say "good" just how much are you willing to spend?  On my budget I wouldn't spend more than $200.00,  teenage boys can be very ruff on equipment. Please give us some ideas of what your looking to spend and what you expect it to do, so we can provide you with some suggestions.

Kind of spendy for young kids, but they would be useful as they get older too. How much is "not spend a lot"? There are a lot of choices out there.

Hey Baylian,

Good to see you back.  Glad you like the Elites.

For binos for the boys, you won't do much better than the Leupold Yosemites.  Personally, I would elect the 8x30s for your boys' ages.  For younger boys (like mine for example - 10 and 7) the 6x30s might prove better.  They'll only run you a c-note apiece and the optics are better than any roofs under $300.

Another good one is the Pentax 8x40mm PCF WP II.
