Hi, I am new to the forum, and am looking for a little help. I recently bought a new scope, a Mark 4 8.5x25x50 LR and there is one thing I am uncertain about on it. Is the MOA on this scope a true MOA since it is a tactical scope or is 1" like most other hunting scopes? The reason I ask is because the long range charts for my gun will be off if it is tue MOA, and I will need to create some new ones. I can find this out when I head to the range but I figured asking someone who knew would save me a little time and trouble.

Thanks in advance, it is much appreciated.

Drew

I recommend always measuring regardless of what they say the clicks are--and the reticle as well.  A yardstick at 100 yds is convenient (10 mils exactly) but you can use any known length object at any range if you do the math.  A good collimator/bore sighter with a grid works really well for this stuff once you've verified the grid is of the correct dimensions.
