I have just purchased a slightly used Tikka T3 Lite in Winchester 270. I am looking to put the http://www.competitor.net/zeiss-brand.html - Zeiss Conquest 3-9x40 scope on it. I do not have the factory supplied Tikka rings and am asking what the best alternative brand ring set might be and what height (low, medium, high)?

I am kind of leaning toward http://www.competitor.net/leupold-brand.html - Leupold rings as my local gun shop recommends them but does not carry a http://www.competitor.net/leupold-brand.html - Leupold ring for the Tikka T3 lite.

Any all recommendations especially those based on experience is appreciated!

Why are you hyperlinking us to an "off topic" web site??

http://www.swfa.com/pc-5250-943-talley-lightweight-aluminum-1-scopemount.aspx - Talley Lightweight Aluminum 1" Scopemount . The Leupold mount for your gun is only available in gloss standard mounts and this Talley mount is one Piece and definately better. Especially considering the Leupold mounts together are $45 and the Talley is $40.

The one-piece construction of the Talley Lightweight Alloy Scope Mount is unique. The rigid design has no joint between the scope and the rifle. The Talley Lightweight unitized design eliminates the possibility of an "out of alignment" interface or "loose connection" between the ring and base of traditional two-piece designs.

thank you for the information on the Talley option.  I do think I will go with that.

Not sure if the comments re the "off link web site" link were to me or someone else.  I do not think I did anything to cause whatever that means.  I did check the box to send me an email if someone replied to my question.  Perhaps that is what is happening.

Sorry if I caused any confusing and thanks again for the Talley recommendation.
