A while back I posted that I was going to trade a Barska with problems for another scope (of equivalent value). The Barska came on a rifle I purchased for $473.00. When I asked how much it was without the scope...$473.00. Well, after it turned out to be no good, I took it back in May and traded for a Simmons Blazer Boresighter scope. Hey, it was equivalent value. It is a pretty solid and heavy scope, the click adjustments work well (audible with a good feel), clarity was not bad, and the power ring was brisk, but not "heavy" to turn, definitely not too easy. I thought...WOW, I may have made out OK on this deal.

So, I mounted it on a 30-06 and took it to the range a while back. Just got around to posting this. I followed the instructions for "sighting in in one shot" and it seemed to work pretty well. Then I fired three rounds for group. 1st round dead center, 2nd round about 3in high and 4in right, 3rd round...who knows.

This is what the boresighter is supposed to look like:

This is what it looked like after the 4 rounds total:

Anyone need a good scope tube to pound something with? Might make a good meat tenderizer. UrImaginaryFriend, when I say "at least it was cheap", no rotten tomatoes please. Since there was no discount on the rifle to get rid of the original, there was no investment on my part (except gas to get it). Anyway, it has a nice box, still looks very "snazzy", and is worth exactly what I paid for it.
