Got a Pride Fowler 3-9x32 .22 scope a while back for my 10/22 Pocket Rifle.  Haven't really used it much but was getting critical today looking at it, holding it level (or at least I think it was level - LOL) and noticed that even though the turrets and bottom of the scope appeared perfectly in line with the rifle, when I look through it the reticle appears canted somewhat.

Should I rotate the scope in the rings until it is no longer canted, or would this be problematic with regards to the use of the W/E knobs when adjusting at the range or in the field?

Granted, this is for a .22 rifle that probably won't be used past 150 yds, but I do want it to be accurate when adjusting it.

One thing I have noticed, and I don't know if anyone else has had this experience with PF scopes, is that the eye relief is very critical on this scope - if your eye isn't just right, you lose your view in the eye box pretty quickly - so for a "rapid" scope where you need to take a fast shot after acuiring your view in the scope, it doesn't work as well as other scopes I have that are more forgiving.

I would level the reticule through turning the scope, even if the dials are off. Hopefully the reticule moves correctly up/down left/right, otherwise you will have some fun zeroing it. Once zeroed Kentucky windage (aiming high or low) may be your only option for shots other then at your zeroed range.

I am afraid you will only know how the reticule responds by fitting the scope and dialing away.
22 rounds are cheap... so fire away and tell us what you found!!

Thanks, 8shots.  Thank God I didn't have this issue with my Zeiss scope I used for hunting in Namibia - that could have been expensive and disastrous - LOL.

Greywolf,

If this is still an issue call them and ask to return it.
They had good customer service in the past.

I used to work for them.
