I need a cheapo for an airgun and I found a powerline 3x9x40 with mounts going for $25.

Are these scopes just as bad as tasco?  should I pick it up?

No reason to put a $10 saddle on a $5 horse, it should be fine.

Now, if you have a $300 air gun with a match barrel, I'd consider something better.

If that airgun has much power, that cheapo won't last.  Different kinds of recoil in air gun.  I melted down a "bluelight special" type scope years ago on an out-of-the- box 5mm Sheridan.
