This past week-end saw the Boland Kaapjag Pro-Am being held at Mooresburg, Wetern Cape South Africa.
The rules are: No scope magn higher then 12x. No barrel length to exceed 26". Barrel diam at tip not to exceed 0.86 inches. Only sandbags provided allowed to be used. Only ammunition supplied by the manufacturer (PMP) to be used. 1 fouling shot and three shots to count.
The advertising poster:

The range is adjacent to a picturesque town called Mooresburg. It is about 11/2 hours drive away from Cape Town and is in the heartland of our wheat producing area.

The range itself has a beautifull setting. The next two pictures show the range from the 500m point, and then the clubhouse.

The morning started with overcast conditions and a light wind. Overall conditions were good.
Here the first detail is returning after putting up their targets.

Next the ammo was carefully checked and issued as per each competitors cal and weight request.

Rules were strictly enforced and several range officers were on duty to check.

And then came the serious business of shooting:

And here is a view of the targets.

And the activities was greatly enjoyed by all.

Each cal competed in their own category, and then an overall winner was selected. Yours truly won the 300H&H category using 180gr bullets.

 Then the group photo:

Over and above the individual winners, all those that shot a smaller grouping then 3/4inch was invited, all expenses paid, to participate in the National Competition in Bloemfontein during Oct 2009. It will be a two dat event, including a visit to their factory.
Again yours truly qualified with his 30-06 using 168gr ammo!

And then the road home, with Table Mountain beckoning in the distance.
