I'm wanting to replace my sights on my M&Pc and I've been eyeing the hell out of the Truglo Brite Site TFX Pro. Anyone with experience? What are some recommendations?

For what is the pistol used? And at what ranges?

Do you have concerns about point-of-aim/point-of-impact?

For range guns, I like adjustable rear black site and either gold bead front or fiber optic. For a gun that might be needed to live, I always do tritium up front and some tritium rear, some cutout, rounded rear.

For a life-n-death gun, I don't use fiber optic. For a range gun, they work well.

My site of choice is Heinie straight 8, but I have a few different configurations.

Whatever you get, practice, practice, practice!

I'm a defense style shooter, CHL holder for almost a decade (only 30) I practice at least once a month, and do scenario based training inside my house alone and with family at least twice a month so they understand what to do. Ffactory sights just give me no edge at night and I'm not looking to use the Crimson Trace.

I have TruGlo Tritium/Fiber Optic TFO sights on my Glock 23.
They work great, and make it easy to shoot in any light (or lack thereof).

Personal preference:  I prefer them to a laser.
A laser not only targets the bad guy; it also tells HIM where YOU are!
However, lasers are quite helpful to some shooters and in some situations.

Most Important:  You have to identify your target BEFORE shooting.
We have our house set up so that anyone entering a bedroom at night is in the light, backlit  (and night-blind).

I use Heinie sights almost exclusively. Not a fan of fiber optic sights on handguns, but everyone is different. Beyond that, if you have not done so, take a defensive handgun class or two and make sure they have a night shoot where they go over how to use a flashlight.

I have the M&P9c with factory white dot sights. I have other guns that have night sights and some that have fiber optic. Fiber optics only seem to work well with sufficient ambient light. The weapon light doesn't work to make them brighter than the weapon light. The night sights are the best for what you describe.

Disclaimer: I don't actually use anything like you describe. SD training with handgun for me is point shooting. HD is a shotgun with light, no sights.
