i just got a new rem. 300 altra mag. and im looking at the Leupold Quick Release Weaver Style Rings & Bases. i would like to know what people think of this and if can hould up to the 300 altra mags recole. or if any one thinks i shoud go look at some thing els. thanks

I would look at Warne, Talley, and Badger.  You might also check out Kelbly rings and bases.  They have a very nice look. 
Not a fan of the Leupold.

the QRW and PRW will work just fine, they are as good as any , better than most, rings. The quick release lever pulls out and free wheels to "put it out" of the way, after tightening. Place a piece of electrical tape over the scope, "snap" the top ring on then slide it off the tape to keep from any damage that may occur on assembly.

QRW's are very much like some of the others...as I said, just not crazy about Leupold. I hope that did not come across as the Leupolds were inferior. Not my intention. The QRW's will work fine for your application.

I just installed some Tally's on my 7mm. I know it's not a 300 rum but being familiar with my bro's 300 rum they'll definitely work. The quality and design is excellent. I'm now in the process of doing base and ring change outs on my other hunting rifles.  Wink
