That is a cool pic. Taken from SWFA's store website. But it is not correct! The MP-8 reticle in my 2.5-10 Tactical illuminated does NOT have heavy Duplex-style crosshairs.  It is a thin crosshair all the way out to the edges.  The milling section is as shown, though. It also has a small (one-tenth mil?) round dot at the intersection of the crosshairs. (The pic shows that, but not real clearly.)

These are pictures taken through the scopes. It is an IOR 2.5-10 tactical with a MP 8 reticle. The ones that are being sold as we speak.  Is yours an older model? Hope this is what you are looking for.

The MP8 reticle in my 4-14X50 30mm Tactical is exactly as pictured above with the 2 zebras, with the heavy posts outside the milling section at 12:00, 3:00, and 9:00.

It was purchased NEW from you guys in May 2007.  As I posted, it has no heavy crosshair, which rather disappointed me at the time, having purchased it based upon the zebra picture description. I mentioned it in previous posts without response. Not really a big deal, I guess....

Good question! Mine has the floating dot with about a half-mil of space between it and the ends of all four crosshair sections.  The one Chris Farris 2 posted photos of doesn't have a dot of any sort.

Are these FFP or SFP scopes, Chris? (Mine is a FFP model, perhaps made earlier or later?)

The IOR is a SFP reticle and they do not have the floating dot anymore. Sometimes IOR changes their reticles slightly without informing us, which is what appears happened in this case. Our pictures are still showing the floating dot on our website. As far as we knew they still were until I pulled one of the shelf and took those second group of pictures. Hope this helps.

Well, either way it's a great reticle. I like it much better than Mildots for ranging. If IOR gets their reticle illumination problems corrected,  it would be perfect.
