If you could design it, for your needs what would it be?

Mine would be variable 5-20X56, premium quality lenses of course, and with Zeiss coatings.

35mm tube, with excellent scattered light management, I don't think most companies go far enough here.

Front Focal Plane, with a reticle that suits the zoom power. (varied sizes of dots etc. for the longer ranges, when the power is increased)

extending further down the vertical axis.

A well designed light system for said reticle, to take advantage of the low light capabilities.

Fully resettable naturally.

I prefer the 1/8, would like better the 1/10 @ 100 yrds. and should be 10 inches per full turn of the elevation.

Valdada seems to be the closest to having this criteria less some things though, their MP8 reticle would be perfect with some tweaking. Just my opinion. what do you think?

perfect tactical hmmm

6 inches long, .5 lb, variable between 1x15, indestructible (gun goes south first and can use as carrying handle), 1moa clicks, best glass possible, reticle in moa not mil-rad, visible in night and day without any outside power source, quick detachable with no loss of POA/poi. built in laser ranger finder with digital output in constant sized letters at top, cooks breakfast sunnyside up toast coffee.

I just have a hard time dropping 2K + on any optic - it gets really expensive to find a scope better than a Super Sniper 10x.

X-ray vision, and you could mount it to a tripod and have something really interesting, when your not on the range

Cyborg

Why varied sizes of dots when you have the bullet drop compensator?

Personally I would love to have a mil dot reticle that can be adjusted betwen full reticle illumination and only centerdot.

1cm clicks and mil dots.

Both ends of the scope threaded for mounting accesories.

Locking turrets on both windage and elevation

Side paralax

Regards Technika

Yup, that'd be nice, But on ffp the cross hairs or dots get larger as the mag increases, BDC would help, but when target is requiring higher mag and the dot is larger than the target already, smaller dots down the vert and at the proper elevation are essential.

Yup, that sums it up, I grew up using iron sights only, shooting man size targets out to 300 yrds, I'm quite sure several others here can say the same thing.

Most of us here can shoot I'm guessing that to be a true statement, I am fortunate to have very good vision, I'm 43 with 20/17 and think I'm going blind sometimes. I just wanna get as close to one hole as I can so scopes come in handy. plus lots of breath control and trigger control practice. Seeing it and hitting it are two different things. I think all of us are working on improvement, that and we enjoy the challenge.
