optical clarirty? Anybody have the chance to check them
out? How about you Chris or Brady?

I have a Pentax Lightseeker 2-8x32. Unfortunately the only Grand Slam scopes I have spent any time with are 4.75x40, 3-10x40 and 1.75-5x32. So the comparison would not be exactly apples to apples. For the same money, I would go with Pentax. I think the glass is a little better. However, Grand Slam, I think, is a bit cheaper, so it might be a better deal for the money. Another thing is that I find weye relief on most Grand Slam scope a bit too short and I do not like the oversized power ring. That makes me lean toward the Lightseeker. If I had to guess, I'd say that Lightseeker and Grand Slam will have comparable brightness with Lightseeker posessing an edge in resolution.

I have a weaver 6-20 grand slam on my 1000yard light gun and a pentax 8-32 lightseeker on my 1000yard heavy gun. I like the optics of the weaver better.
