I can get a great deal on a Pentax PF 100 ED with 20-26 eyepiece.  Anybody have any experience with these?  It's a big, heavy scope, but I'm not worried about portability.  Thanks

They are very good scopes, on par with the German ones.However, they are sold with two kinds of eyepieces, some better than others.

The Pentax SMC XW 22-18 mm eyepiece will give you 26-78x magnification.

I made a typo on the mag.  It is the 26-78 zoom.  This is the more expensive one, I think.  The other zoom is 32-96, or something like that, but is less expensive.

you will need a real tripod for such a heavy and long scope
