I heard these were basicly the same scope. Owned by the same company and equipment and quality etc. Pentax just being a little cheaper...

Ever heard any of this? Thanks,

WC

Pentax has Burris make their scopes.  However, they use Pentax glass.  Although I have heard that in recent times Pentax is having Burris use their glass in some scopes (have not confirmed that).  While Pentax seems to have a great hold on the Binocular market their scopes sadly are often over looked.

I have the mid range Whitetails Unlimited Scope and I love it.  The Lightseeker is one of my favorite scopes on the market.   I think you get a great scope for the money in the Pentax line

According to John Barsness (a fairly well known gun writer) all current Pentax scopes are relabeled Burris scopes, I believe.  In the past, they were Burris mechanicals (scopes, turrets, etc.) with Pentax glass.  When the change occurred I am not sure, but probably a year or so ago.  Either way, whether they have Burris or Pentax spec glass, they are very nice scopes.

That is what I thought and when I picked them both up and looked they sure were the same. I'm saving some money and getting the Pentax. The savings will pay for the mounts and a box of shells...

Thanks,

WC
