Penitential message to OT forum -
I have went too far with my lust for lightweight firearms, gear and cartridges. Thus offended many on this forum... therefore I will put an stop altogether of even posting these things from here on out.
SORRY

rustic, there is no need to QUIT posting about the firearms and accoutrements you are passionate about... just keep it level headed and of an appropriate tone.  People here love to hear about others' shooting exploits, likes/dislikes, successes/failures, new and old guns, optics and accessories...
Welcome BACK...

Rustic, Kickboxers sentiments are my own. Diversity is the spice of life! I understand that everyone has different passions and we can all tend to push our favorites. Your passion for lightweight equipment is appreciated. But, if you bring up a .17 for deer  Chainsaw    Wink.

I bet they do work on turkey, and I can tell you they work on rough and blue grouse quite well.

The only "deer" I would consider using a .17 on is one of these licentious rodents showed up.
Yesssss... I would put a sprig in it's mouth out of respect after harvesting the rodent.

Don't worry a really really really really really bigggg one tops out at around 60 pounds.Wink
