Have any of you hunted Saskatchewan; If so, what did you use for a pee bottle while in the stand?

You wouldn't think this would be a complicated issue and maybe it's not, but I don't want to use ANY type of plastic that may become brittle and break in the extreme cold....I think you understand why. Big Smile

Nalgene will hold up...although the one dude I knew who used to keep one in the tent almost took a drink out of his. Another time, he spilled it. I can see a market for a one-way valve. Or you could get Depends or some of those astronaut diapers like that crazy lady who drove halfway across the country to shoot her ex-boyfriend's new girlfriend.

I'll opt for the Nalgene bottle.

Not too sure about aluminum... you've heard of the kid that stuck his tongue to the gutter?
Below- freezing- cold metal and moist appendage...

excellent point and one i hadn't considered... although the pee is almost 100deg when it comes out, so presumably it would warm the bottle enough that nothing would stick... still, i might not chance it :p

I just had my wife make up a pee bag using one of the smaller vacuum seal freezer type bags. Those things are tough. I just twist it off and put a pinch clamp on it. Works for me. YMMV

I seen one yesterday at Gander Mountain; plastic with a hanging hook. I kinda questioned the capacity though, I drink ALOT of water. Big Grin

Pardon my ignorance here guys, as I'm not a hunter, but why are we discussing urinating in a bottle? Something to do with scent scaring off animals or something?
