OK, I understand what parallax is but I still have one question.  Why does it seem that anything under 10 power does not have an adjustment to correct for parallax?  It would seem to me to be important at all powers.

i would assume that its becuase most of them are classified as big game scopes, and its not as necessary when your trying to hit a 18" target (chest cavity of a deer) as when your trying to hit a prarie dog size animal, or a target at 500 yards.

Use the search function-there are several execellant explanations in previous posts-basically the higher the power the more the greater the difficulty in resolving the picture between two points. An AO acts to keep the light rays more parallel.

thanks Dale.  I didn't even realize there was a search function, duh.  Great explanation by chris.  I'm narrowing my scope choice down and it looks like SWFA will get my business simply because of the time and effort they have put into this board.
