I just got back from the range sighting in my tikka 260 , the scope is a Burris-3-15x50-Veracity and the last adjustment made ended up maxing the windage to the right out but it's right where I want it so should I leave because I won't be dialing the windage or take it off and re mount it. I have never had this problem, I have it mounted with the talley one piece rings and base.

I would remount.  Something is not right.  You don't want to be MAXED in windage or elevation… not good for the scope.

I might call Burris and ask what they suggest.  40 MOA is not much adjustment for a scope in this price range.
Windage Adjustment:40 MOA

I suspect they wil suggest their mount and rings.  This is one thing that I do like about Burris is the signature rings because they do not mark up scopes and the ones I have used worked very well (probably the only nice thing I have ever said here about Burris):

I think thats what they would say i needed to do also . So do i dare ask what you have against Burris ? THe main reason i got the scope was to see what all the rave was about the FFP scope other wise i would have wnet with a vortex or Bushnell.

First and foremost: great choice in rifle and mounts.  I love my T3s and they all wear Talley lightweights, great fit.

Next, If you are bumped against the windeage max, you actually limit elevation too.  Think of a circle within a circle: you have very little vertical movement at the horizontal limits.

I know it stinks, but it sounds like something isn't quite right in the mounting.  I have had it happen once or twice, and remounting sometimes gets things right.

Are you comfortable mounting a scope?  Do you have a decent in/lb torque wrench?

Once you get the mounting squared away, you will love the platform.  My custom builds now go on Tikka actions, they are butter smooth and not one has yet needed truing (unlike EVERY 700 action I've ever loved.)

Do what Rancid suggests...
Also get the scope back to its center by checking how many clicks from extreme left to extreme right. Then dial back half the number of clicks. Next, get the scope close to your vertical line from bore center using the scope mounting brackets as adjustment (Not by using the scope windage adjustment) Only use the windage adjustment for the final fine tuning. That should leave you with ample windage left and right.
If you cannot get close to bore vertical center with the scope mounting brackets then something is amiss..or afoot.....
(Get the bore vertical center by using a bore sight or using the plumb line method.)

From the few times i shot it i love it , i will re mount it and see how that goes . I do have all the right stuff to mount scopes and like i said i have never had a problem before and this kind of stumped me a little as to why . If i have to set a scope back to zero i usually use a mirror to do that and have had really good luck whit that . Thanks for the help

Does that mean, after the remount, it was exactly on the boresighter where it was before?  Because that isn't a good thing.

My issues with Burris stem from unsatisfactory customer support on products I have purchased.  The only scope I have that Burris made that works well is one they no longer produce in a fixed 1x and it has been on several high recoil firearms and has worked well. I would expect their higher end products to be satisfactory but I do not believe I would have purchased a scope with only 40 MOA of internal adjustment because in a perfect world that would give 20 MOA right of zero and 20 MOA left of zero,  and the chance of that happening is slim.  Some people I know have had very good luck with Burris.  Personally I have had very good luck with Leupold and a lot of guys here are not big Leupold fans.  Almost everyone Loves the Zeiss products.  Almost everyone loves the Super Sniper products that are an SWFA exclusive.  There are a number of manufacturers out there that make good and useful products.  Bushnell seems to use pretty good glass considering the  fairly reasonable price.  I am a big fan of Trijicon scopes that are tritium illuminated and of Aimpoint products.    I have found several nice scopes on Samplelist used often demo display models.
