Lots of people making bourbon these days... hard to keep up with all the new stuff coming out and some quite good.  Woodford Reserve is definitely a "go to".  I've had a bottle on hand since 1996...try to always have a backup.

Let’s just say I keep a few different Bourbons around… for medicinal purposes.

Mornin gents

32, foggy, and overcast here.

I don't care much for Woodford. Doesn't have the same taste as it originally had. The first batch was made by an undisclosed distillery, and it had a much better taste to me.
Makers Mark 46, Four Roses, and Eagle Rare are my preferred sipping bourbons now. Of course that is subject to change.
Dan is right, there are so many new distilleries popping up that it's hard to try them all, and still have a liver.

Well our weather forecast isn't pretty either. It contains the word "SNOW", so everybody is freaking out.

Guess I should get off my arse and dig the snowblower out of the shed.  I got caught off guard by last snow. Ive been house bound since two days before Christmas.

I had my normal luck. I ended up having to self quarentine thruboth Xmas n New Year.  I dropped off  pesents to my sisters houae on the 23rd.  She then called me on the 24th to tell me my  neice had just tested positive for Covid.  All three there contracted it.  I quarentined myself and didn't get to see my grandkids.  My son's kids are 3 and 3 months, daughters' 9 and 13.  Needless to say, Ive been a tad depressed over it.

At least my sister's house recovered okay and I didnt contract it so.....

Winter storm advisory here for tonight and tomorrow. NBD though... IMO.

Good day gents

Belle Meade Reserve, I'll give it a shot. Get it... a shot.

Look at the bright side Bud; you didn't get the Covid, and nobody died.

Well it seems like the big bad snow storm is pivoting around us, and we're not getting anything.
I kinda wanted the snow, but I wasn't looking forward to putting up with the traffic going to work Monday and Tuesday.
Traffic in Lonnyville on a good day is loony, and dangerous. Throw in some bad weather and it's idiots armed with the 16 inch guns from the USS Iowa.

Went from sleet to snow. How much we get, I don't know.

Scrummy, are you trying to tell us that you haven't had a killing frost yet?

We could do with a series of good ones, the undergrowth is dying back a bit but a bit more would be welcome. Had a frost this weekend, few more would be great.

Good morning all,

Nice weekend, popped up to Wales to see my folks.

Did some wing shooting and shot with my Dad.

Quarry was Pheasant, Woodcock and Snipe.

My mornings shooting was rubbish and I paid for a lack of practice (should have picked up a shotgun in the intervening period since early August).

Afternoon I was in the hotspot on one drive and was 4 from 5 shots.... rather glad shooting came back.

How's everyone doing?

Scrummy

Mornin’ all, got up 30 minutes ago, looks like we got a load. Front steps all drifted in, appears 12” or more. Coffee and cookies right now. Waiting for daylight.

Glad you got some time in with your Dad Scrummy, bagging some game is just a nice plus.

Wish I could say good morning Skip but it’s a bitch out there. 6” on the ground right now and snowing hard. Weather stations have now classified it as a blizzard since the winds have really picked up and added another 2” to the expected snow total.

Evening gents

We got a little snow, but that's it. Cold and windy here, 30 was the high today, and getting in the 20's tonight.
We're staying warm with space heaters, and lots of wood. Yeah I've learned how to burn damp/green wood.
