I think the law is a good first step. I also believe that it does not go near far enough. Without federal support(deporting those who are caught) all it is going to do is cram are already full prison system. I honestly believe that it is going to come from the individuals before we get the support "WE THE PEOPLE" want from are government.

It all starts this November. Get out and vote for conservatives! That is the only way things that matter most to us will get accomplished. We need to get these socialist assholes out of office. I don't care what the republican names are. If they are for gun rights, tough on immigration and conservative on spending sign me up!

When that new party comes along let me know. I like some of the ideas of the Tea party but getting an entire new group to vote on will likely never happen in our lifetimes. I'm with you 100% but until those changes happen im voting for the non socialist pigs.

That too is part of teh problem.  Seems like the last Several election have been voting against someone instead of voting FOR someone.  That tells me none of them are truly worthy of the position and we need more and or better alternatives!!!  I'm with Billy!!!!  Flush twice and start over!

I agree with everyone but i don't want to not vote. Me not voting for the conservatives means the socialists retain power and that will further drown us. The second a system is in place where a viable party can come in and compete im all for it. I wish we could get rid of the whole lot. Most people don't have our interests in mind. The Federal Gov is just too damn big. States rights have gone by the wayside and Arizona is a prime example. The feds won't enforce their own laws and Zona is getting sued for trying to protect Americans???? Loco

I am not necessarily a "Tea Party" guy. The way things are going in Washington these days, they all spend like mad. The only difference is the aisle separates what they spend it on!

This one of the reasons we have come to have such a rigid two party system. And such bi-partisanship in D.C. Most people believe the fact that if they don't vote "the party" their vote is not heard. Even though they don't agree with "the party", it has come to the point that it is insane!( My definition of insanity is doing the same thing the same way, and expecting different results.)

What's the alternate Bill? In reality. I mean we can't just get rid of everyone. Doesn't work that way.

Not vote? Guarantee that keeps us with the likes of Obama/Reid/Pelosi types. Give me just about anything other than that.

I think that ballots should not have straight party voting on them and they should also not be maked what party the person is.  I believe they should have a list of the canidates ideals listed and what they support and don't support. Then you make a decision on the views of a person instead of the label of a person.

It would be nice if people actually read into the candidates rather than just party, but reality is most people just associate certain values with left or right. The problem is people campaign in the middle and then go either way (depending on party, see Obama). He campaigned pretty much toward the middle and we're now seeing why so many people were duped. You can't trust many of them, especially the left. This is still a right of center country.

The best start I can think of, is getting rid of the Electoral College. When the constitution was drafted it served a purpose to make the states equal, and to make it easier to count the votes. Now with the use of electronics and computers it makes absolutely no sense at all.

This is 1000000% spot on. The fact is, that it doesn't make states equal at all. What incentive do candidates have to spend campaign $$$ in a state that gets you 3 electoral votes???? Lots of states never see a certain candidate based on strategy. The EC was directly implemented to help keep this a 2 party system. States are not equal with this system and popular vote (which is used in every other election) doesn't always mean you win. Not that i'm complaining about Gore not getting into office, but there is a point in there.
