Mornin gentsCoffee
Clear skies with a gentle wind out of the north, and just damn cold (low 20s give or take), and only going to 40.

Life's concerns should be about the 120lb pack your trying to get to the top of the mountain, and not the rock in your boot.

Hello folks,

How goes? Spent some time at new rifle club last night. Think I might need (and I’m a little ashamed to admit it) think I want a 10/22...
Was sure I had a point when I started this post...

Howdy all.
Had a big announcement today. Okay, maybe it was just an announcement, but either way it requires pictures, and I can't seem to post any pictures from my albums. Has something changed?

Okay got it.
As Peddler can tell you, I've had a low grade fever for a new Mustang GT PP2 for some time now. On 11-1-19 I made a deal on a Magnet Grey 2019 Mustang GT Premium with the performance Package 2. Production wise, it's as close as you can get to a Shelby GT 350. This past Monday I dropped off the Muskrat, signed all the papers and Mrs BF and I drove the new Mustang home.
Today we took our first drive in the new Mustang. I haven't driven a manual transmission in decades so I have a learning curve, and it's going to take some seat time to get used to it, but this thing is a beast. As much as I loved the way the old horse handled, the new one is way ahead of the old one. It'll be a while before it's officially broke in (1,000 miles), and maybe a few more than that before I'm broke in, but WOW, this is a fun ride. Oh, and Mrs BF is really liking the new ride too.

Pay no attention to the date on the picture. It's wrong.

Well I'm betting you'll be sorely tempted to smoke the tires ever time you drive it....I would!!! Cool

You being an active LEO should help you somewhat with the speeding tickets....

Just out of curiosity, will you put tags IDing you as a LEO.... FOP or some such....  I sure would!

Mornin gentsCoffee

Thanks Mike. It is a sweet ride.

Bud, Mrs BF wont be driving it. It's a manual. Besides, she only lets me chauffeur around her in her car. she rarely lets me drive it by myself.

I hadn't planned on putting a FOP sticker or anything like that on it. I used to put them on my trucks, but I never put one on my Z28, or the Muskrat. Usually by the time you see an FOP sticker or plate you've already started the stop process and it's going to take a badge and a cool head from there on.
I got stopped once in the Z28. Some jerk in a beat up station wagon was tailgating me on the expressway and there was no one else around. I punched it and got in the 3 digit mph area and left the jerk behind. Don't know where he came from (I had slowed down by then), but an officer from the county police was trying to pull me over, he was way behind me when I saw him. I pulled over, showed him my badge, told him why I was speeding and shmoosed a little bit. He wrote me a warning ticket that meant nothing, and said the only reason he did that was because he had already called in a chase and had to have something to show for it.

Shortly after Mrs BF and I started our maiden drive yesterday, we passed a State Trooper that had somebody stopped at the intersection we were turning at. I thought, "Oh great, I'm going to stop at the light, accidentally squeal tires taking off from a stop, and have him and every LEO in Meade county looking for me the rest of the day". Fortunately the light turned green and nothing happened.
I just hope Magnet Grey doesn't mean COP Magnet Grey.
I wanted a red Mustang, but Mrs BF reminded me that red translates to "ticket me red".

Mornin gentsCoffee

Sorry about the cold Skip.

Speaking of cold, it was 23 when I left for work. Had to pour water on my truck doors to get them open. It rained and then snowed last night, so everything is covered with ice and snow, except the roads, they are clear for the most part. Today's high is only going to 29, a record low high. What happened to all this global warming sh!t?

Mike, I've kinda been following the politics over there. Ya'll need to get outta that EU.
