OH MAN! If this wasn't a family forum I'd have some fun with that one. Just can't get my mind out of the gutter.
Life's concerns should be about the 120lb pack your trying to get to the top of the mountain, and not the rock in your boot.

Well life is starting to untwist.
I got some good news from a friend of mine. His wife just had a double mastectomy and breast reconstruction, and the mass that they removed was not cancerous.
The bad news was we had to put one of our dogs down today, and I just finished burying him. He was 14 years old and having seizures, and it was his time, but we always hate to see them go. We put him next to the cat that we lost a few months ago. They were best buds and played together when they were able. The house and routine is just going to be different from now on.
Maybe Mrs.BF and I can put a little stress behind us for a while.

Rainy here, starting to feel autumnal.

Lyn, sorry about the hound buddy. Hopefully he's happy hunting somewhere.

From his stated age I'm thinking he was Mrs. BF's lap warmer.  Either way he was a loved family member and will be missed,  Condolences to both of you...

Mornin gents.

A little sore, and somber this AM, but otherwise OK. Mrs. BF is going shoe shopping today just to get out of the house for a little while; something she rarely does so I know she's upset. That or she's got an excuse to hurt the credit card.
Breakfast was a little tough for me this morning because there is a little treat ritual that was named after Barkly that I do with all the dogs, and he wasn't there.
Mrs. BF ordered his headstone yesterday, and we always add a nickname after their name and dates of all the kids that we've buried. Barkly was a Shetland sheepdog and I always called him Little Big Mouth, but that wouldn't fit on the stone. Mrs.BF said we should make it what we say almost every time we say his name, so his headstone will read "Barkly 2004-2018 Shut Up!".
If you haven't guessed, Barkly lived up to his name and would bark at spider farts; very annoying at times, okay, most all the time.
He was very loyal though and stayed by Mrs. BF's side almost all the time. When the 2 Shepherds were playing and knocked Mrs.BF down and broke her knee, Barkly was the only one that stayed with her until I showed up. She never forgot that. It's also why she carries a big walking stick when walking the dogs now.
Barkly was a creature of habit and our daily routine was dictated by most of them and they usually revolved around a meal time. The little sucker lived for food. If a piece of food was dropped on the floor, all you had to say was, "FOOD ON THE FLOOR" and it was cleaned up in less than a minute.
This goes back a bit when Tracer and Travis were alive; both were Shepherds and rather large. I was walking the dogs when Travis caught a baby rabbit. I told Travis to drop it, and he did ( I was proud of him for obeying me). As soon as it hit the ground Tracer grabbed it. Took a little more yelling than Travis to get her to drop it, but she did after a chomp or two. When it hit the ground Barkly grabbed it and swallowed it before I could open my mouth. Then he walked away as if to say "That's how you eat a rabbit". I was amazed.
I'm going to miss that little turd.
