Once again I end on on the short end of things.....

G Everything is waiting on Met Ed to upgrade the street transformer.  My Solar is ready to turn on....

I'm guessing the A-holes will of course try to do the upgrade while I'm in Florida...  Ouch   Angry

The latter, unfortunately that means turn on would start mid July and I'd miss one month of annual peak generation....  Oh well.....

Met Ed has to kill power on my street for 3-5 hours to do the swap out.  That part i wouldn't mind missing...  Neighbors might want to lynch me if it's in the 90s....

Morning folks, grey, rainy, breezy and a decidedly chilly feeling 55F this morning. And I thought about a BBQ tomorrow evening...

Scrummy

Mornin’ all, 60* with a 20 mph breeze out of the West. Pretty cool off the big O. Only a high of 64* and supposed to blow all day.

I don't know HOW IT HAPPENED.... But....  I've three days of supposed perfect weather to enjoy and it happens to go straight thru Father's Day !!!! Clap    Clap    Clap

Last evening I ran across a deal that turned out to be much better than anticipated.  On an impulse I snagged a bag of 6 Maryland Steamed Crabs from Weis Markets while grocery shopping.  When I got home and opened them up to reheat I found 9 not 6 crabs and all were heavy and surprisingly large.
The real kicker was that they were the best tasting crabs I've had in a couple of years!!!!  Happy early Father's Day to me..... Smile  Not bad for $11.95!!!!  Crabs are usually 3 to 6 dollars each...

Mornin gents.

Clear skies and a lower humidity today with temps in the 80s.

Come on Bud, you know with your luck, something is going to go wrong. Hope it don't and GOOD LUCK.

Kinda long but funny story.
Yesterday I went to the Dr. for the results from an earlier exam, and Mrs BF went with me. We had decided to go to a near by gun shop so she could check out a pistol afterwards. Well the news at the Dr.'s office wasn't good, but it wasn't terrible either, but it means MORE trips to the Dr.'s office. Anyway, we were on our way to the gun shop when the cell phone rang. Now it was linked to Mrs. BF's car, so she could see the number, at it wasn't one we recognized. Just as I was getting ready to answer it, she hung up on it.
"What did you do that for" I asked. She said "You didn't want to talk to them, it was just a telemarketer". "Yes I did" I said. "And what were you going to say to them" she asked. I said "I was going to let them ask me how I was doing, and then I was going to say, I don't feel like talking right now, you see I just got out of the Dr.'s office, and I just found out I have a terrible disease..., and I'm going to die. I'm on my way to a gun shop right now, and I can't talk right now". "That's awful and not true" said Mrs.BF. I asked her what's not true about it, "I have a disease, and the terrible part is all about perspective, We're all going to die some day, and we are on our way to a gun shop. She thought for a second, laughed and said yeah, you are right.
I just wondered how that person would have felt the rest of the day if I could have pulled it off.
I could hear my old friend Roy up in Heaven laughing his ass off.

Mornin gents.

That's great news Bud. Keep us posted on how the system is performing.

Yes, I was exaggerating.

Rough start to the morning today.
I was just getting out of the bathroom when Mrs. BF runs in and shouts, "The dogs have caught a deer". At that point I thought it sucks to be the deer, but then I thought about the aftermath of sick dogs and dead deer dog farts, so I had to intervene. I stepped outside and I could hear the deer squaling,  so I ran inside and got dressed and grabbed a pistol. Went back out and into the woods where I thought the deer was moving through tick and chigger infested brush searching for my dogs and the deer. Finally Trooper comes to me and takes me to the deer, saying, "dad, sissy caught a deer and she wont let me have any", (you have to know how to read a dog's mind). I found Trina eating the hind quarter of a fawn that was not dead yet. I chased Trina off and put the fawn out of it's misery. Took the fawn up to the house and put it in the garbage to keep the dogs from getting it.
Then Mrs. BF discovers that Barkly was missing, so back into the woods I go. Barkly is old, blind in one eye, and can't half see with the other, doesn't get around as well as he used to, and thinks with his stomach, and if he followed the big dogs into the woods, the buzzards might find him before I do.
Finally after Trina finishes her breakfast, Mrs. BF tells her to find Barkly. Trina walks around one side of the house and comes back from the other with Barkly following her.
Crisis is now over, except I am now running late to get ready for work. This is when Mrs. BF looks at me and says, "Lets move to Hustbourne". Now this is a running joke between us; we often eat dinner with friends in the Hurstbourne area, which is the trendy place to be and live with horrible traffic, and over priced homes. When we're fighting traffic trying to get to a restaurant, I will often say to Mrs. BF, "lets sell our place and move in here" knowing Mrs.BF loves where we live as much as I do. To which I replied, "now you know what I'm talking about". We're not moving.
