Evening gents.

Just thought I'd tell G what I did for the weekend. Had a trap shoot at my place yesterday; did pretty good too, but so did everyone else. Had a great picnic afterwards and ate too much. I was exhausted after it was all over and barely stayed up till 8:30 PM. hauled water and cut grass today. Took a quick shower and discovered my water pump is froze up. Already have a new one ready to go.

It's been a great weekend; especially around 5:00 PM EasternWink

Morning all,

Well, weekend clays plans scuppered a bit. Found out that in addition to the suppliers not delivering all of our bathroom stuff, some of it was wrong so lost out on shooting clays.

In addition, the contractors messaged this morning saying could they start a little earlier than anticipated. Ah boy.

Hopefully can sort out this week so I can hunt this weekend as need more venison

Mornin gents.

Sucks about the clays Scrummy, and the bathroom.

Getting ready to go swap water pumps out.
I had turned the power off to the pump last night to keep it from over heating. Turned it back on this AM and it ran fine. Decided to go ahead and change it out anyway, since I wont have a chance to do it the rest of the week.

Clays there will be more of, bathroom is a pain as contractor wants to get going. Suppliers in this country are just too used to having it easy and making money I think.

Best get that pump changed whilst you can, be a pain if it gives out when you don't need it too!

Thanks for asking. We are mostly fine but have had a major plumbing leak and master shower issues. The leak has been🤩😚repaired... the shower is a no go. Builder has been great but is now in cancer treatment so his mind is elsewhere (as to be expected).

Good Grief Charlie Brown!

Scrummy I hope everything works out and your builder recovers!!!!

I had my builder go bankrupt during the last phase of construction.  House was about 85% complete.
Luckily I had withheld the last draw of the construction loan and was able to finish everything myself with the remaining funds....

Hard to believe that was 28 years ago.... Confused

Just got done swapping out the pumps. Took a lot longer than I thought it would; ran into some plumbing issues. One of the quick disconnects wouldn't disconnect. Had to go buy new pipe, connectors, etc., etc.. Then the pipes wouldn't line up, so I used some grunt and a big pipe wrench to get everything connected. Got it wired up with a a wire that is just long enough to reach so I used some more grunt and some swearing to get it connected. Finally turned it on and nothing happened. It needed to be primed. got that taken care of. Turned on one more time expecting pipes to leak badly, and the pump to go crazy because the pressure wasn't adjusted. Everything ran fine with no leaks or pump crazyness. I don't get it... something has to be wrong after that much trouble.

Do you have enough room to to have both pumps installed and have a cut out to run one or the other when one one them fails.

Mornin gents.

Made it to work today. Feel kinda beat up from yesterdays pump swap. Still no leaks, and it's still running OK. It might need some adjustment to the pressure switch since it comes on at 35lb. and shuts off at 40lb; should be about 28-45lb as I remember to keep the pump from coming on all the time.

Lile, don't think I haven't thought of your idea, but two pumps hooked up at the same time doesn't guarantee reliability or longevity of the pumps. Instead I've been trying to streamline the swap process by making it plug and play so I can swap pumps in less than an hour. I forgot to get my electrical stuff so I don't have fight with wiring after the pump is installed. I really just need a better quality pump, instead of the stuff you get from TSC.

Good morning all!

58 going to 73F here. Bright, sunny and hazy. Not the cold clear weather and frost snaps I was hoping for.

Some are saying the fallow deer rut has started so might see if I can get up to Norfolk this weekend and have an armed ramble for a large smelly deer
