Mornin gents.

Good to hear from You G.

Sunny here with temps going to 93 today.

Have a cousin getting buried today, he was 89 and owned the funeral home I visited him at yesterday. It was good to see his kids and their families. His 3 kids are in the same age range as me so they are who I related to growing up. Debbie, the oldest (just a little younger than me) married a lawyer and moved to his home State of Nevada, and her husband is now a Judge in Ely.
Jeff, the middle child, now runs the funeral home, and since it's in a small town in western Kentucky it is quiet successful; people are just dying to get in (my cousin's quote).
John the youngest was a special kid, he was one of the goofiest kids I ever knew, and I'd have to beat him up almost every time we got together; he and we, were always in trouble when we were kids. John played basketball for the University of Texas, and coached until about 18 years ago. He has 2 sons that played major league baseball, One for the Rangers, and one for the White Sox. He also has a daughter that played volley ball for Ohio State. All his kids took after him, I'm 5'10" and John has to look down to count the freckles on top of my head. I'm just glad he does,t hold a grudge. John is still living around Austin, Texas.
It was good seeing them. I just hate getting together with family because we're at a funeral, so I got contact info and warned them I'd be coming to stay at their house for a couple of weeks.

Thanks G, but not necessary. Bill had a good life and a good family, and being a funeral director with the family growing up in a funeral home (they lived over the funeral home) death is something they came to understand and accept. I'll miss him, he was a smart and funny guy, but he had Alzheimer's and it was his time. I'm actually happy for him.

Morning all!

Grey and overcast here in London yet muggy and humid. Off to a nice seafood restaurant this evening with my good lady wife and looking forward to it immensely!

Scrummy

Mornin gents.

Sure Happy It's Thursday

Nothing like recovering from a disaster after work G.

Date night with the Mrs., nothing like it.

Clear skies, calm winds, and going to 93 today.

Counting today, 71 to go.

BF... date night.... better make sure you pack the ace bandages and ice packs... never know when her old wrestling roots will kick up and she puts you in the "finisher" again.

Yeah, and he's probably got pictures, but he's not running for office so they won't do any good.

Morning all,

Gorgeously sunny but blustery day here in London.

Dinner last night was delicious. Crab bisque followed by skate wing in caper butter that you just waved a fork near and it fell off the bone. Fabulous.

And today is Friday! Woohoo!

Scrummy

Mornin’ all, the Fall Salmon run has started and the Salmon River and the Oswego River are full of fish. Looks like a monster Fall that’s going to match the fabulous fishing we had all Spring & Summer.

On a more sad note I went to a Memorial service for a young friend who was only 47. He fought a valiant 4 1/2 year battle with cancer. There wasn’t a dry eye in the place. Kevin was a Guide and a Charter Captain running both a drift boat and a lake boat. He was recognized by customers, friends and his peers as the best at each calling.

Sorry to hear that Skip. :(

G. How's the water and damage going?

In terms of sea food last night I had crab bisque followed by pan friend skate wing in caper butter...

Oh man, was so good! Just waved your cutlery and it fell apart...

Scrummy

Flood levels are holding steady in most areas but still haven't crested in others.   Expected another 18" in some areas
