Sorry your so upset about the world cup Scrummy.

Humidity has dropped big time, and the high is only going to be 90, and clear skies today.

Well after much brain gnashing, discussions, figuring, and just plain luck (good or bad), I've decided to finally retire at the end of the year. It's just going to depend on the State Supreme Court rather I go in November or December.

Hi BF, well, enjoy your retirement sir!

I'm glad the media circus is reducing from the football.

I'm about to head off and do some gun plumbing!

Good morning folks, after an overcast start it has turned into a gorgeous day.

Not much planned this weekend, looking at bathroom stuff tomorrow, may get away for some clays in the afternoon.

Did some gun plumbing last night and rings and scope and bolt handle worked together!!! That like never happens for me!!!! So made some changes.

Trying to make the gun a better plinker for my wife to use from 100-300 yds.

Scope is a Duralyt 3-12x50, Sportsmatch mid height mounts and a tourbon cheek riser to meet the request for more mag and being easier to see through the scope.

So, some pictures are here: (Sorry, I can't make Imgur work opticstalk) http://ukvarminting.com/topic/42918-speccing-cz527-for-target-shooting/?page=2&tab=comments#comment-333647

So, all in all, just need to get it zeroed now! Scope is centred so will try and get down to Bisley to zero it.

Morning Ped & Ed!

Have put links up to another forum, sorry I just can't make imgur work with opticstalk.

Travel home safe Peddler!

(The Ped & Ed show? Is gals in waders or something rather more sinister?!?!?!!?)

Mornin gents

Safe trip home Skip. You going by land or air?

Nice looking setup you got for your wife, Scrummy. Oh, and Bradder looks like somebody that can get his main spring wound real tight, real easy. He could be funLOL

Clear skies, going to 95, and the humidity is still low.

I realized the check valve between my mind and mouth still work this morning. The safety manager stopped by this morning and asked me how my back was doing, and that he knew it was hurting me a few days ago. I told him my back was fine, and that it was a over a month ago that my back was hurting. At that point I wanted tell him I had a pain in my ass if he wanted to check that, but the check valve stopped me. I still have a few months to go.

BF, Bradders builds some very nice straight pull / lever release AR15 derivatives so has an interest in more people shooting Civilian Service Rifle

Glad the check valve is still working. I doubt the safety guy would want to check your lower gas release valve ;)

Morning all,

No real firearms fun this weekend for me really, got my wife to try out the 223 for eye relief with the new scope.

Anyone else?

Mornin gents.

Overcast, humid, scattered showers most of the time, and temps in the 70s to 80s.

About 5 months or less to no more Mondays, and every day is Saturday.

Glad you got home OK and safe Skip. It's always nice to have your k9 kids go crazy over you when you get home.

I shot a practical pistol match Saturday morning. I didn't get any penalties, and my accuracy was fine, but my speed was mediocre so I don't have high hopes for a decent finish. I really need more practice.

Hey Mike, I talked with my friend that used to own the Mustang and the Corsair. He told me that the Corsair burned about 2 gallons per minute at cruse, and the Mustang was 1 gallon per minute. The cruse speeds were 250 knots for the Mustang and 180 to 200 knots for the Corsair.
He said if he leaned out the mixture on the Corsair and slowed it down to the 180 knots, he could get it down to 1.5 gallons per hour. He told me the manager at the FBO loved to see him land his Corsair.

Heya Lynn, and there was me complaining at the weekend about my ~27mpg I get out of my Subaru!

Corsairs and Thunderbolts with that big radial are just cool though ;)
