OK... let me test this theory out then... What will my good friend Jeff from Houston ship to me tomorrow afternoon as a no strings attached gift, solely out of the goodness of his heart? |

Cruft,
The problem is on your end. You are inserting control characters which prevent display.
As for your original suggestion, I find it condescending. You can post reviews however you want with whatever charts you want. When I review a product, I use several different methods and provide the pertinent details. You don't have to read them...

Using a resolution chart is only going to really work if the same, controlled lighting conditions are used every single time.

My reviews are really simple.....I must be a simple man. I say things like, I like it, or it looks good to me, or it is not that good. I read wine reviews and the EXPERT says things like, hint of pencil lead, or undertones of black currant. I try the wine and say, it tastes like wine. I like it yes or no. I leave the detailed reviews to those who wish to take the time. And I do appreciate those on this forum that do this. I have appreciated most people who have taken the time to do any review and I respect the opinions of those on this forum. Thats all I have got to say about that.

Jon, I use the AF standard (discontinued) res chart for a lot of low light comparisons, but I sometimes use just plain old hand drawn charts. The comparisons are still valid, but since the test is not instrumented, it is "my eye" dependent. May not be exactly the same if you or someone else is looking through the optic...

I have used the charts before. But, low light and heavy cover at varying ranges work for what I'm looking for.
