Hey everyone;

Im looking to use a scope for a technical application at work.

Is there some type of optic or scope that can focus w/ crosshairs on objects starting @ 15 feet away?

We currently use surveying scopes. They are bulky, have zero eye relief, are not variable and

cost $8000 each!

Thanks,

Hi; I'm not sure what power you are wanting to buy....?? But I'll let you know about a couple of models that may work fine at 15 feet.

The Leupold VX-III 6.5-20x40mm EFR is rated at 10 meters to infinity, but it has adjustment enough to go some below 10 meters. It's a good chance that it may work fine for you, but may not be 100 percent parallax free at 15 feet.

Another choice is the Burris R/A Scope line: They make a 4-12x40mm...not sure if it's 40mm or 44mm??? It's designed to adjust from 7 yards to infinity with most likely some adjustment still below the 7 yard mark.

Both of these were designed for the Air Rifle Crowd and are high quality scopes. I've owned a few of the Leupold EFR scopes over the years and have no complaints and still own a no longer produced Burris 8-32 R/A scope with no complaints.

Also the Bushnell Elite 4200 series can adjust from 10 yards or 10 meters to Infinity and is a high quality scope.

My guess is the Burris 4-12 R/A will be the most likely scope to get you to 15 feet.

Good Luck

Cool

Im looking and looking-there seem to be more products that will focus close range than I thought...

For what we do, it really needs a crosshair, this is why a rifle scope would be best.

Thanks,
