   This month's copy of our local hunting mag has a write-up on a particular brand of optical boosters or loupes.
I do not want to mention names as I am not sure if SWFA stock these items.

The question, has anyone used any of these and how good are they? They work on the basis of screwing onto the eye-piece, providing a 3-5X enlargement of the optical picture.

Sounds like they would reduce the eye relief though, kinda like putting a barlow lense on an astromoical telescope.

Two models are available. One that screws onto a Leupold eye piece and one that slips on any scope. Yes, they reduce eye relief and light transmission, but no so as to spoil the fun. Apparently a great help for 50+years old eyes.
