I have finally got my 9mm AR up and running and was thinking about optics for it.  right now leaning towards a 1x of some kind since ranges are bound to short, with the Aimpoint being the front runner.  What say you all.  This is primarily a play gun but could be used for HD.  My budget is aprox. $500.

Thanks

I like Aimpoints... always my very FIRST consideration when look for fast acquisition, ease of operation, confidence in "lead on target"...

Opinion,untempered by fact,is ignorance.

I would add durability, compact size, and insane battery life to the aforementioned commentary.

I looked them up and the M2,3,4 look to have most of the same feather (minus NV compatability on some) so what is the big difference?

M4

M3

M2

ML2

You can read through and find the differences. I've only fooled with the M2, ML2, M3, and the T-1 Micro.
Honestly, I would forego the Comp M's series, go with the Micro and call it a day. The Micros are a game changer. The Comp M's rock, don't get me wrong, but after having and shooting with several Comp M's, the Micro's are the $hit.

That said, if you want to save a few dollars, the ML2 is a fine optic and will serve you well for many years.

Comp M mount.
