I just wanted to say,
Thank You to everyone, I think my intent was on the mark but poorly executed.
Also I was out for a few days and ......... holy crap, I'm sorry I spawned that, however hilarious it sort of ended..

Just missed the chance to say it in the thread.
That is all. Excellent

Worry not SW!  I thought it was, at times, entertaining as well.

But, kind of like booze, too much makes you want to puke.

Threads like yours were a magnet for RC.  You probably had nothing really to do with it, his stuff has splattered a lot of us.  Stuff happens sometimes Smile.  Lots of us are glad it ended like it did.  That sort of "explosion" is pretty rare here.  Welcome to OT.

I wouldn't worry about it too much as the internet is full of experts that lose the clarity (pun intended) to see that we are talking about a scope for a hobby rife we use for sport/fun. We really need to thank God that we are sitting at our computers worrying about that instead of worrying what kind of rock makes the best spear to kill a wooly mammoth with lest we and our famlies starve to death.

I apologize to you.  Every topic that a certain poster replies to ends up going down in flames and ends up so far off track due to people having to respond to his insanity before it pollutes the rest of this forum.

Weazel, not your fault.  Stick around for awhile, and you'll notice a pattern emerge.

Mostly, the OT is knowledgeable people trying to help others.  Some here are not knowledgeable and compensate by blathering endlessly in contradictions and anecdotes.

SW,

The real problem with your question in that other thread isis that you were seeking to create an objective scope ranking based on a series of subjective responses.  You can't turn a series of subjective responses into an objective data set.

You probably did what was best anyway, go someplace and look through a lot and see what you like.  That is what counts.  Get it narrowed down a bit and then ask for opinions, it will focus the responses a lot.
