I have a question for the experts among us, why is it that the L/R knob on my SS feels very tight when rotated, and with hardly any audible click feedback, where as the U/D knob seems to function properly? I've not adjusted this sope in years but needed to this past weekend and that's when I noticed this anomaly. The scope is probably 4-5 years old and has not seen much use after setting it so it sat for a few years now. Is this normal? If not where do I send it for repair and will it cost me?

Simply run the knob to each end of its travel a couple of times and it should loosen up and act better.  Its mechanical and the grease in it over time if not used might gum up a tad but it should not really effect how it works, I find mine works better with regular use and I also like you probably do tend to adjust the up down much more than the right left knob.  Some have more audible clicks than others that is not uncommon and does not effect how well it holds zero or moves adjustment.  Should you ever have real problems with it simply contact customer service at SWFA and they will be glad to help you.

I recall seeing an article or forum posting speaking directly to this issue, but unfortunalty I could not find it.  As I recall they suggested rotating the knobs from one extreme to the other multiple times before you even use the scope.  See if this helps.  Or call SWFA, they offer great support.
