I posted a question on this forum a little while back about a glare problem I was having with my 20X SS.  I have two SS's, a 16 and 20.  I was told to use another sunshield along with an ard and that would help.  I ordered a couple more sun shields and an ard, got them in yesterday and they fit the 16 just fine but won't reach the threads on the 20.  There is a gap between the threads and the end of the objective of about 3/16" and neither the ard nor the shields will reach the threads.

Question is, is this 20X an older SS?  Could this also be a contributor to the glare problem?  I've heard of issues with the older ones but so far this has been a good scope except for the glare problem.  If I could be sure the glare issue would go away I wouldn't mind using one of these, maybe a newer one, on the rifle but the glare is really tough to get by.  I haven't called SWFA CS yet but that may be my next step depending on what I hear here.

Sounds like you have a pre SWFA SS.  I can't say for sure but if the threads are different then I would assume its not a SWFA SS.

Kinda what I was thinking.  Any reason for concern outside of the glare problem?

As far as the glare I can't say haven't had the experience nor have the expertise to advise.
