I recently got a custom Mauser sporter that belonged to my grandfather. It has a .270 Win Douglas barrel, Buehler safety, Timney trigger, and a very fancy hand made stock.

It has a Buehler scope base with two piece rings and a 3x-9x Browning scope.

I see that Bushnell makes Browning scopes now?

Would that also be true of Browning scopes made in the 1960's?

The only numbers on the scope are the 3x-9x and what I would guess is a serial number.

D25916

Anyone know about the older Browning's?

Thanks

The old Brownings were made by Redfield.

Thanks!

I couldn't find anything about the older Browning branded scopes.

I think I will leave it on the rifle just to keep it "as built".

Thanks again
