I was wondering if there was any place I could send an old Weaver 4X for a refresh or rebuild.

I'm not too worried about cost as it is on the .22 my grandfather left me and it could use some work.

Is there anyone in particular that can do this? Does Weaver offer such a service?

Thanks!

If Weaver does not this company does vintage scopes

http://www.parsonsscopeservice.com/

You can call them and get and estimate, they are usually backed up about 6 mo.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I never thought of replacing it with a new one and keeping the original for safe keeping.

Long story short, it's mounted on a Marlin 81DL that my grandfather left me. The scope was bought by my grandmother for my grandfather to celebrate an anniversary.

Gun is accurate enought out to 50 yds that I really don't need anything too fancy. The glass is cloudy though and shows the years. I was going to have it cleaned up and just continue to use it as it is a lot of fun to shoot.

Thanks for the offer on the Grand Slam 4.75 fixed but I have one LNIB sitting at home waiting for a new place to be put.

Send it to the old address on Larry Mahan Drive in El Paso.  They now refurbish the original Weavers and it will be as good as new.

It is hard to pass a new GS 4.75 at $149.00.  I keep telling myself I don't need another scope, but it is such a screaming deal.

Hey...I got weak and had to buy the Weaver 4.75 x 40 Grand Slam.  The price has been reduced to $139.00.

That has to be dealer price or lower.

Screaming buy.
