Hi,
I would like to ask You for help with my old scope. My friend gave me some old "Haneka" scope, but I don't know what it is, where it is from and when it was made. I was asking for help on many forms, especially historical (second war) but nobody knows what it could be. Maybe some of You will know what I have...I will be grateful for all help, and replies, Best regards, P. Day light photos: |

Son of Ed,
Yeah it is old and it was also painted with black. But who made it or where it was manufactured? No idea...and what is "Haneka"? I can't find anything about it. For me it looks like it was made in Finland or maybe Sweden...but I have got only this feelings looking on this strange name. Like I said I would be grateful for all help. Regards, P. |

I have seen one before on a K98 Mauser. It was an original sniper weapon, captured in WWII. All I know about it... sorry. Welcome to the OT Forum. |

Looks like an old Pecar-Berlin scope to me.
They made this configuration with this mount. ILya

Koshkin,
Thank You for this information, now I will try to find something about Pecar-Berlin scope, maybe that's the way to recognise this item. Anyway, how much would it cost? I'm asking because I don't know the value of it. I bought it for maybe 50$. Regards P. |

I have no idea what Haneka means. Perhaps Pecar made it for someone else.

That is what I believe... Pecar made it under another name... but I don't know... they just look amazingly similar...

Have a look at the name Haweka in lieu of Haneka.

Looks to me like the type of mount system one might find on a Drilling or a double rifle obviously its intended to match up to a specific rifle. The Post reticle used to be a popular hunting reticle and particularly good in low light which makes me think dangerous game gun.

Hi,
I was talking with some guy who knows old German language, and especially letters, and he told me like You did, that this is not Haneka but Haweka. So now I have got all informations about this scope. Urimaginaryfrnd You are also right about where it was mounted, because my friend who is a hunter told me that the mounted system was cut like it could be used on double rifle/drilling. Anyway, thank You for Your help guys, Best regards like always, P. |
