Hi,

I'm new to this forum. I purchased an old Burris Fullfield scope recently. The mag is 8-18, with a target shooter reticule (full fine hair cross with a dot in the middle). The Burris sign is handwritten like on the side of the scope, not capital blocks like the new one. And the name is Fullfield 8-18 only. I'm looking for some info and maybe review on this item, but all I can't find is Fullfield II and there is no magnification like that. The scope is in very good shape, but I say 20 years old at least.

Thanks for Your time.

Gabriel

First off,WELCOME to ya!!  I don't know much about that scope(6-18,not 8-18 maybe?) but did have a 1.75-5x20 I bought new in '83 and finally sold it to a friend for his .444 Marlin a couple years ago. It's still gettin done. The USA made Fullfields were/are tough scopes! I'm sure someone else will have more info on your scope so stay tuned.

Big HELLO to You as well!

Thanks for your 2 cents. I owned once a WWII scope from a German sniper rifle, and this Fullfield reminds me a lot of that scope...

Anyway it's mounted on my new '22 CZ 452 zkm lux.

Gabriel

Welcome Gabriel. I am sorry that I can't offer any useful info on that scope. The power range throws me for a loop. I do believe that it is likely American made though.

I'm pretty sure Burris only offered the original "Fullfield" in 6-18x.  No 8-18x.  They're pretty reliable scopes IME.  The optics are no where near as good as most modern scopes but they are sufficient for everything I ever did with mine.
