Depends on what value you give your gun and what condition the leupold is in.
This loopy on the samplelist similar to what your looking at?
SPL15549 Leupold 6.5-20x40 Vari-X III E.F.R. Rifle Scope DEMO-B
Click to view SOLD Gloss, Fine Duplex, 1"
$449.95
it sold for 450, I'd think your gun would sell for $550+ with the grips given its in good condition.

They dont' make the VXIII anymore now its just the VX3, different scopes.

Do you have a link to the one your trading for?

Also if you want to trade your gun for something, find out what its worth trade in wise.  Fill this out - http://www.samplelist.com/TradeInForm.aspx

I would make sure which one it is. The VX3 and the VXIII are different scopes. The VX3 is the new one and I feel it is much better glass wise than the VXIII. Their values are different as well.

I"d pass on it and spend your money on something like a Viper PST.  The warranty is a wash as they are both excellent.   The glass in the newer PST's seems to be excellent.  I just put one on my Blaser LRS1 and its very ncie.

It is a FFP scope so you could range with it.  here is the link to this reticle specs - http://www.weaveroptics.com/downloads/WO267_EMDR_Reticle_11_x_8-5.pdf

All that said you'll need to find out what your gun likes, get the ballistic info, plug it into a ballistic calculator and find out your estimated drops, then confirm on the range.  Once you confirm make yourself a drop chart and tape it to your gun stock, you should be good to go.

Just because it has side parallax adjustment does not mean it is from the custom shop. This one has it and it is not from the custom shop. And I am not even sure you can add a side parallax adjustment if it did not come with it.

In the past most people refered to a VXIII as a VX three and some still do.

I would keep your beloved Glock and take a hard look at a Vortex like SVT indicated. As far as magnification ranges go I have a SS 5R with a 3.5-15 and never felt like I needed more magnification.

With a 15x it similar to looking at a target without any magnification at 67yds. Just because you can see it does not mean you will hit it. A 1000yd shot is not very easy. I like my 5R and have been shooting both 168 and 175gr.
