I recently bought a Bushnell AR Optics 1-4 straight tube with illuminated reticle.

Its a first focal place scope. So at 1 power, the reticle seems to be off the left. As you zoom with it the reticle grows and seems to move off to the right a little bit. Used a friends Leupold magnetic bore sighter and the reticle point of impact never changes. Its an accurate scope.

But its bother some to look at, and I dont know if its actually supposed to be like that or not.

Thanks for any help

Wait, the reticle changes location but the point of impact doesn't change?
A magnetic boresighter is an OK tool, but round down range is the best way to test accuracy and reproducibility.

Is your location behind the scope in exactly the same spot each time?  And in the right spot?

Well, on the magnetic tool , under scoped power you can see a grid. The reticle never moved off the same point on that grid. It always held the same location no matter the zoom.

Do you mean my location as in my face? Yes it was as best as I could. Same as the friend who noticed it. I didnt notice it myself but now that I do its enough to be bothersom lol

I'm not sure I understand how you are determining the reticle is moving if the fixed grid at the end of the barrel tells you it is not moving.

I think you are over-analyzing, if the point of impact isn't moving, you should be good.
