While the z6 is thought of more as a hunting scope it occured to me I wasn't using one of the best features and one I bought the scope. Its low range capablities. So changed it over to an ar10 for a 1000 rd, enduro test. The TDS cross hair is too thick for target and fits into the good size for hunting, which also puts it inot the good for bowling pin, fast steel target, and counter sniper catagory. I wanted to test how fast the ranging reticle can come onto bowling pins at approx yds. (no time to range). So after 200 rds of 175 smk from 25 yd to 600 yrds. , I think it has found a new home.

Good deal!
Looks like they belong together.

Is that a Muley Pod type device in the rear?

Hey Dale

I kinda chose the same thing.  For my AR that I want to use for varmint calling I expect to get some running close shots so I put my Zeiss Conquest 3x9x50 on it.

It has a very large field of view and a quick eyebox.

You got a sweet setup there.  Do you have any trouble getting a cheek weld low enough to see through the scope?  I went with the ultra-high's and it still could be a little higher.

Yikes -- The cost of the Z6 is enought to scare me.  I was t hinking I would like to have a traditional optic on a CAR-15 but I'm thinking $400 to $500 and the little 3-9x40 Sightron S1 mildot looks like it might be fun to play with, but a Bushnell 4200 or a Zeiss 3-9 might be more satisfactory long term.
