I have a 22 caliber that does not have a Piccatinny rail on it. I bought a replacement scope 4x32 but the clamps are way too wide. Any ideas on a 4x32 scope that will work?

Need more info...what type of base/s and rings do you have? What does it mean "clamps are way too wide"?
Opinion,untempered by fact,is ignorance.

Many .22s have about 11 mm rail or thereabouts, whatever that comes in Imperial inches (3/8"?).
Your new scope came with rings for mounting on a standard Picatiny or Weaver rail, which is wider.
Just measure those things (scope tube diameter, rifle scope rail, etc.) and order proper scope rings.
If your ring rail clamps are close, but not quite fitted, pull out the clamping screw and turn around the clamping claw piece. Many are machined to fit different rail widths.

Sounds like you need new rings (Clamps will confuse people). Local gunshop will be able to help.

Try Warne rimfire rings.  They have reversible clamps to fit most rimfire/airgun dovetails.

The model numbers to look at are 721, 722, 731 and 732.
