Nikon is coming out with a new nikon prostaff rimfire 4x32 scope.(aslo a 3-9x40) Does anyone know if this scope has been changed or impoved on any? Does anyone know if this scope comes with rings like its predecessor. Maybe some of you guys that get to touch these before they hit the market can fill us in.

I contacted Nikon this is what they wrote back.

"The new ProStaff scope will have handturn adjustments, quick focus eyepiece and up to 98% light transmission. The new scope does not include rings. The anticipated release for the New ProStaff scope is later this month.

Sincerely,
Ed"

Im interested in seeing how this competes and if there how it pans out.

I'm hoping for new and improved. Bought my Father-in-law one of the older ones and wasn't impressed with it. He likes it well enough, but to me it wasn't as good as a lot of other scopes in the price ball park.
