I have clear the most hight optical quality owns to Zeiss (not best riflescope, but optic s quality)

I read in this foro Conquest series are made of a different multicoating treatment than other Zeiss series

So ,  I dare to compare a Nikon Monarch 2,5-10X 50 vs Zeiss Conquest 3,5-10X 44

Zeiss Conquest 3.5-10x44 Target matte riflescope ( I ignore which reticle it mounts)

I discuss only optic quality, relieve, contrast ,size eye pupil.Readin specifications of each I understand Nike is best, but I never test a Zeiss in action

How do you evaluate both? (compare)

thanks

Somebody call Meathead, I need a translation.

I think the Zeiss compares favorably with the Nikon. Some may not see much difference, but some will see some. The Nikon will have a slightly larger exit pupil at 10x, due to the bigger objective, but I think the two would be very close optically.

Zeiss has better contrast and clarity. I have 2 Nikon's and none are near to the conquest in clarity. Yesterday I was comparing some scopes looking at a pump jack at about 350 Yds.
The sun had just risen and the sky was very bright behind the pump. With both of the Nikon's there was a reddish halo on the top edge and a blueish halo on the lower edge as viewed. The conquest had almost no color dispersion. A Kahles CL had almost no glare and you could see all the rust patches even with the bright light behind the subject. All the scopes were viewed the same power setting. Later with different lighting conditions the Nikon's did not show the color shift that they had with the strong back light. The newer Monarch fared much better than the Monarch UCC

The 3-9x40 Zeiss Conquest is the best scope that can be purchased for under $500.  I've got a couple and they are very clear.  I also had a great experience with their C.S. department.
