I had the 10x42mm Nikon Premier LX Venturers.
They were VERY nice and at least to me, were optically right up there with the Euro's. Exquisite optics!

The only negative I could say about them is that they were heavy, as compared to the Swaro EL's or Leica's.

Seems like I paid right around $900 5 years ago for them new.

I have a pair of 8X and 10X posted on various hunting websites and while everyone agrees they're great glass, offers have been few.
I just want to make sure I am pricing them correctly.

These sell for a little under $800 new.  I have seen them for as low as $700 with refurbs/demos going as low as $600.  I even know of one guy who claims to have bought a refurb 8x32 LXL for $450 though, I have never personally seen them this low.

I'm not sure but, I also believe that the Nikon warranty is non-transferable.  The Nikon refurbs I believe receive a somewhat reduced warranty.  (I could be wrong on this account.)

Anyhow, I personally would not be willing to spend more than $400-$450 on this binocular used.  I am, admittedly, a bit of a cheapskate so; I suppose you might get somewhere around $500-$550.

If you find someone willing to spend more than that, sell it quick and run as you've just found one of those fools from whom money is quickly parted....Bandito

The 25 year limited warranty may not be transferable, I am not sure on that however the 25 year No-fault policy still applies. It cost $10 and Nikon will fix or replace your bins. Yippee

I saw a NIB for $450 at a camera store in Portland, OR,  this summer. Excellent optics.
