Has anyone shot them both?   Based on previous reviews I'm leaning towards the 4200.  Any negatives in getting the 4200 aside from the $50 extra cost?  Planning on using on a TC Encore w/quick release rings and swapping between different barrels so adjustment accuracy is important.  Hoping to be able to just reverse the amount of clicks when changing barrels.

Thanks,
Mike

I own the Team Primos (2) and like them a lot. I also own another model of 4200. The choice should really come down to you and your rifle. The glass of the 4200 is probably marginally better than the Nikon, but Bushnell doesn't believe in eye relief. For a mild recoiling rifle I'd spend the extra $50 for the 4200. For a heavy recoiling rifle like my Tikka T3 Lite in 300WM I wouldn't even consider a Bushnell. I'm just not a fan of getting smacked in the face by my scope.

i own both, and while i havent had either in the field yet, i really think they are very close i do like my nikons i own several and havent had any trouble with them, but there cs depts reputation does bother me a little, and rainguard on the 4200 is nice i would probably take the 4200 if you can afford the extra $$ if not the primos is a very nice scope for $200

Except for the BDC Reticle, is the Team Primos exactly the same scope as the Nikon Monarch UCC?

Thanks,
Mike

Last question.. I just bought a .50 cal muzzleloader barrel for a T/C Encore (haven't shot it yet).  Do you think the shorter eye relief on the 4200 will be an issue with heavy loads in the muzzleloader?  The other barrel this scope may be used on is a 7mm/08 so I'm not too concerned about the eye relief there.

Thanks again,
Mike

I would shy away from the 4200 with the .50 cal, personally.   Eye relief is the only gripe I can find with a 4200 other than the Multi-X is too thin a reticle for my taste.  GL with your choice.
