I have a friends Nikon Monarch 3x12 with side focus on my rifle. This scope seems to be in focus with a reading of 75yds no matter what the range I look at. From 25 to 500. It seems to shoot ok. Has anyone else encountered this on any scope or is just this nikon?
Thanks

This may be a stupid question but when you say it is in focus, do you mean the the image is in focus or the paralax is in adjustment.  I believe that the "side focus" knob adjusts paralax and the image focus is on the eye piece.
