Anyone had any issues with the nikon prostaff?

I am thinking of getting a 3x9bdc for my 22lr and 17hmr. I like the idea of a BDC for hold overs. Will the 100yd parallex be an issue? Thanks

I have a 4x Prostaff on a .22 Marlin 60 and like it OK. I didn't have really high expectations when I got it and it's held it's own.

That said, The Hive here likes the Weaver Rim fire scopes pretty well, due in part to the ability to tune parallax at close distances, as you eluded to, and the solid "bang for buck" glass they wield.

Are you shooting "movers" or mostly target? If it's static paper targets, I'd opt out of the BDC and just get a duplex reticle.
If small game and varmints, then you may well want the Nikon BDC reticle for hold over shots, as you mentioned.
